Our Mission:
Forging a Faster Big Island
The Holomua Speed Project is a community-based, non-profit track club dedicated to elevating competitive runners in Hilo. We provide local athletes with the facility access, accountability, and structured programming necessary to shatter their personal bests. We believe that speed is built through discipline, measured efforts, and a relentless culture of high-performance training.
When, Where, and How Much
When: Thursdays, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Where: Hilo High School Track.
Dues: $25/month.
Where the Money Goes: We are a registered non-profit organization. 100% of your membership dues go directly toward covering the DOE facility rental fees, custodian wages, liability insurance, and allow the next season of runners to continue track use.
Track Use is a Privilege, Not a Right
We operate in strict compliance with the Hawaii Department of Education. To protect the facility, all athletes must agree to the following before stepping on the track:
Only designated running shoes or track spikes allowed on the surface.
Water only on the track—no sports drinks, coffee, or food.
Zero tolerance for disrespecting the facility, the staff, or fellow athletes.
